RESOLVED – That the minutes of the meeting of the LCR Appointments and Disciplinary Committee held on 18 August 2017 be approved as a correct record.

Update on Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Senior Leadership Team Executive Structure

To consider the report of the Interim Head of Paid Service.

Minutes:

The LCR Appointments and Disciplinary Committee considered the report of the Interim Head of Paid Service which provided an update on the progress undertaken to establish the senior leadership team for the LCR Combined Authority.

 

          The Interim Monitoring Officer verbally reported the proposed salary levels for the LCRCA Senior Leadership Team as follows:-

 

·                LCR Combined Authority Chief Executive - £170,000 - £190,000 per annum;

·                Director General of Merseytravel and Lead Officer Transport - £142,814 - £156,892 per annum;

·                Director of Commercial Development and Investment - £130,000 - £150,000 per annum;

·                Director of Corporate Services - £100,000 - £120,000 per annum; and

·                Director of Policy and Strategic Commissioning - £100,000 - £120,000 per annum.

 

The Interim Monitoring Officer also sought the Committee’s approval to amend the wording of recommendation B, as detailed in the report now submitted.

 

RESOLVED – That:-

 

(i)       the contents of the report and the update on progress be noted; 

 

(ii)      it be noted, that the salary levels of the LCRCA Senior Leadership Team had undergone a Job Evaluation benchmarking exercise which had been undertaken by appointed consultants; and

 

(iii)      the salary levels for the five positions as outlined above be agreed.
