LCR 155 - Additional Funding for Growth Platform to provide additional staff resource to Local Growth Hubs

Approval is sought to provide £350,000 of funding to the Growth Platform to enable Local Growth Hubs to strenghten the business support system in the City Region.

Reason for urgency:
This funding is urgently required, to enable the Local Growth Hubs to engage businesses who are not accessing business support and continue to provide support to businesses. This provision is time critical, as it needs to be in place before the furlough scheme is due to end on the 31 October 2020. The funding will ensure that business support is in place at the earliest opportunity, and seek to mitigiate risks to businesses in the City Region.
